Congratulations to Patti Meehan on being named a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Patti Meehan was nominated by student Mikey R., who noted the following: "Mrs. Meehan has consistently gone above and beyond as our class advisor. She joined us at the beginning of our junior year, with our class funds low and morale lower. In the past 2 years, however, we have successfully raised sufficient funds for the Class of 2026, and we absolutely could not have done it without her. Whether spearheading events, encouraging participation, or organizing fundraisers, Mrs. Meehan's hard work, positivity, and dedication has had major impacts on our grade, school, and entire community. We are lucky to get so much credit for what our class government has accomplished, but Mrs. Meehan is the unsung hero. Most of our class has no idea how lucky we are to have her. Thank you Mrs. Meehan for always showing up for us – we couldn’t do it without you." #WeAreHFL

Congratulations to Susan Lindsay and Jeana Sansocie on being named recipients of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Lindsay and Sansocie were nominated by Colleen Holzman, who noted the following: "They took on the responsibilities of the PTA without hesitation during a time of crisis and built it back up with fierce determination; all for the HF-L students. They have worked tirelessly to make sure the students are having fun through dances, roller skating events, book fairs, fun nights... and making sure that teachers, grounds and transportation workers feel appreciated every year. I have such admiration for their kindness and unwavering commitment to our HF-L community through the PTA." #WeAreHFL

A special day at Lima Primary! Students participated in our Flag Day Assembly and then welcomed families for our annual Teddy Bear Picnic. Thank you to our families and staff for helping to create meaningful memories! #WEareHFL

Lima Primary students celebrated Flag Day this morning, honoring military, law enforcement and EMT family members who help keep our communities safe. Then it was time for the annual Teddy Bear Picnic, where families shared lunch, laughter and playground memories with their little ones and their favorite stuffed friends. #WeAreHFL 🐾💛

🎓 Congratulations to HF-L High School's Class of 2026 Valedictorian, Hazel Jokl, and Salutatorian, Elliana Davis!
The honors were announced this week during the Cougar Celebrations ceremony, recognizing their outstanding academic achievements and dedication throughout their high school careers.
This fall, Hazel will attend Colgate University to study biomedical sciences, while Elliana will attend Cornell University to study environment and sustainability.
Their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence have left a lasting mark on the HF-L community. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, and best wishes as they begin the next chapter of their educational journeys! #WeAreHFL 🎓🐾

Our students had a great time exploring and creating today! Thank you to our volunteers who helped make this event a success. We even had a visit from the Livingston County Sheriff's K-9 Unit, giving students an opportunity to learn about their important work in our community.

From 3D printing, stop-motion animation, LEGO building, and friendship bracelets to yoga, face painting, glitter hair, and "The Floor is Lava," our youngest learners spent the day exploring, creating, and imagining.
The smiles were big, the ideas were endless, and the creativity was off the charts! 💛🖤 #WeAreHFL
